Restaurant Magazine announced today the list of the S.Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants. 

It is no surprise that El Bulli is in the #1 slot for the third year in a row. Americanos will be happy to know eight restaurants here made the list: French Laundry, Per Se, Jean-Geroges, Le Bernardin, Alinea, Chez Panisse, charlie Trotter's and Daniel.

snackwire.international: global expansion for jean-georges in 2008

While Jean-Georges Vongerichten himself is in South Beach readying his big tribute dinner, his Culinary Concepts brigade is working on four restaurants slated to open later this year in the new W Hotels in Atlanta, Istanbul and Doha. Each property will get an outpost of Spice Market, and the Doha W will also get the new concept Market by Jean-Georges which is an amalgamation of his Mercer Kitchen in NYC and Market in Paris.
