The battle to save Irv's Burgers, the iconic and much loved burger stand in Los Angles, has come to an end. Last night the West Hollywood City Council anointed Irv’s with cultural resource designation status, meaning it will stand forever. The fate of the Hong family’s burger business contained inside the protected structure is still in question. They’re on a month-to-month lease and hope that current landlord, Ray Roldan, is enthusiastic about preserving their little eatery too. Because Irv’s Burgers without the burger is just an empty bun.
